Northwater Dental is a dental website design concept. The brief: what would a custom-coded site look like for a three-operatory concierge cosmetic practice that takes itself seriously? The dental category is dominated by a small handful of WordPress templates that all collapse into the same shape: a sliding doctor headshot, a generic services grid, an “About” page that reads like a CV, and a contact form that nobody ever follows up on.
The design lead-out:
- A full-bleed cinematic hero with quiet, patient-first positioning (“Quiet dentistry, done thoughtfully”) instead of the usual smiling-headshot-with-stock-confidence pose.
- A featured procedure tile (porcelain veneers) that tells a story about craft, hand-stacked porcelain from a single ceramist, before it sells.
- A parchment-tone grid of six procedures, each with its own full-bleed photo, instead of a PDF menu hidden behind a contact form.
- A four-step numbered “Approach” manifesto that does the work of an About page in a quarter of the words. The doctor’s cell number is in step four.
- A doctor profile tile with a structured credentials grid (education, years in practice, memberships) so prospective patients can vet at a glance.
- A horizontal-scroll office gallery, because dental rooms photograph better than dental teams.
- A three-column visit section with phone, online booking, and a full address with hours. The boring stuff, but legible.
This is the kind of dental website I would ship for a real private practice. Built once and owned outright, instead of rented monthly from a dental-marketing template platform that owns the data and the downtime. Fast enough on a parking-lot phone to actually book the consult. The same approach scales to any small private practice. Medspa, derm, optometrist. Different specialty, same template-site problem, same custom-coded solution.
