Outerwave Media offers a local, hands-on approach with in-person availability, shared business hours, and a strong focus on performance and best practices. Many agencies rely on bloated page builders and shortcuts that lead to slow, fragile websites, while my approach prioritizes clean builds, speed, and long-term reliability.

Yes. Your site is built to be flexible and easy to use, allowing you to manage content, publish updates, and make basic changes confidently.

If an issue occurs due to edits made outside the agreed scope or improper use of the editor, repairs are billed accordingly. Issues caused by plugin updates can be fixed, though immediate turnaround cannot always be guaranteed without a maintenance plan.

Yes, ongoing maintenance is available for a monthly fee and is recommended to keep your site secure, updated, and running smoothly.

Once the project is paid in full, you own the entire website and all agreed-upon deliverables. I retain access to my code snippets for use on other projects.

No. Pricing is outlined as clearly as possible in the proposal, and if the scope needs to change during the project, you’ll be informed before any additional work is started.

A deposit protects both parties and ensures time and resources are dedicated to your project. It allows work to begin with clear commitment on both sides.

Projects include up to ten minor revisions and up to two major revisions, allowing room to refine the design while still keeping the project moving forward efficiently.

For new websites or domains, it can take a few months for search engines to properly index and evaluate the site. SEO is a long-term process and results do not happen immediately after launch.

Link building and citation campaigns are not included, as they are ongoing strategies that depend on long-term goals and are typically handled separately from the website build itself.

Basic on-page SEO best practices are included with every website build to ensure the site is structured in a search-engine-friendly way from the start.

Yes, I can travel to your location to take photos or create branding assets if needed. These services are optional and billed separately from the website build.

No, content creation is not required from you. If you don’t have copy, photos, or branding assets, I can create them for you as a separate service, which will be discussed and quoted in advance.

Yes. I avoid plugins that are bloated or poorly maintained, especially those that haven’t been updated in a long time, as they can introduce security risks and negatively impact performance.

Performance is a priority, so I keep plugin usage minimal, add custom functionality through clean code when possible, load fonts and icons locally, and avoid unnecessary scripts. Every choice is made with speed, stability, and long-term performance in mind.

I primarily build sites using BricksBuilder and Automatic CSS, with EtchWP used selectively as it continues to mature. This setup provides consistent spacing, scalable structure, and long-term maintainability without locking the design into rigid decisions. Perfmatters is my go-to performance plugin on occassion, but my optimization takes care of most of these issues without needing a speed plugin.

WordPress allows me to build websites that clients can actually manage themselves. With basic computer skills, you’ll be able to add content, update pages, and publish posts without relying on a developer, while still benefiting from a flexible and widely supported platform.

If something doesn’t feel right, it’s important to say so as early as possible. Early feedback prevents unnecessary work in the wrong direction and helps keep the project efficient and aligned with your goals.

Yes, and I strongly encourage it. Sharing websites you like helps clarify your visual preferences and gives valuable insight into what styles, layouts, or features resonate with you.

I don’t use finished templates. Instead, I start with clean wireframes from my own library or neutral wireframe layouts with no styling attached, which allows the design to be fully customized to your business rather than forced into a preset structure.
